Mr. Daniel John Gaeta, age 37, of Wittier, NC passed away on December 17, 2021 in the Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. He was a 2002 graduate of the Fannin County High School. Daniel was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing. He was a talented chef, loved playing soccer, and was a fan of all sports especially any teams in Miami, FL. He was employed as a Poker Dealer for Harrah's Cherokee Casino in Cherokee, NC. Daniel loved telling jokes and will be remembered for his great sense of humor. Survivors include his mother, Regina Gaeta of McCaysville, GA; father, Glenn Gaeta of White, GA; siblings and their spouses, Carry and Aaron Holland of Jasper, GA, Michael Gaeta of White, GA, Molly and Jason Stanley of Blue Ridge, GA, Ginny and Cory Callihan of Epworth, GA, Abe and Whitney Gaeta of Woodstock, GA and Dave Gaeta of White, GA; nieces and nephews, Hunter Holland, Sarah Holland, Noah Stanley, Maggie Stanley, Lily Stanley, Carson Callihan, Maddox Callihan, Laney Callihan, Jameson Gaeta and Sienna Gaeta. Memorial services were conducted on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. from the Chapel of the Akins Funeral Home with Rev. Matthew McDaniel officiating.
