The Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill announces funeral services for Daisy Mae Stillwell, age 62, of Copperhill, TN who passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2010. Daisy was a native of the Copper Basin area and was a daughter of the late Willard and Carmel Swanson Stillwell. She was retired as a sewing machine operator with a textile company and was a member of the Union Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Stiles, Wilma Smith and brother Franklin Swanson. She is survived by son, Jason and wife, Dana Payne of Copperhill, TN; seven brothers, Jerry Stillwell of Copperhill, TN, Junior Stillwell of Mineral Bluff, GA, Paul Stillwell of Ducktown, TN, David Stillwell of Copperhill, TN, Don Stillwell of Mineral Bluff, GA, James Stillwell of Ducktown, TN and Earl Swanson of Turtletown, TN. Two sisters, Juanita Adams of Turtletown, TN and Jeanette Elrod of Copperhill,TN; Three grandchildren, Ashley, Jayda and Ethan Payne. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 29th at 2:00 PM from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Joey Whittenbarger and Rev. Wayman Ledford officiating. Music will be by Becky Whittenbarger, Carolyn Verner and Shana Coleman. Pallbearers include Haven Baine, Mike Coleman, Kevin Coleman, Grant Stillwell, Ryan Stillwell and Shannon Green. Honorary pallbearers include Bill Coleman, Donnie Coleman and Jason Housley. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem cemetery .The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday after 2:00 PM but especially from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
