Mr. Curtis T. Legg, Jr., age 71, of Morganton, GA passed away May 25, 2015 at his home. Born in Cullman, AL, he was the son of the late Curtis Thurman Legg, Sr. and Doris Tillery Legg. Mr. Legg served his country in the United States Navy and was a member of the American Legion. He was a retired Electrical Engineer. Mr. Legg was also preceded in death by one son, Philip Greer Legg.Survivors include his wife, Dolores I. Legg of the home; two sons Roger Curtis Legg of St. Petersburg, FL and Trevor Joseph Legg of Acworth, GA; daughter, Madeline Dee Ann Legg of St. Petersburg, FL.Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tom Jordan officiating. Interment will follow in the Hemptown Cemetery with full military honors provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6-9 p.m. Flowers will be accepted however memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #6570 in Blue Ridge, GA.
