Mrs. Corena Mae Murphy Wilcox, age 92, of Turtletown, TN went to be with Jesus on Saturday, March 10, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guinn Wilcox and son, Dennis Wilcox. She was the daughter of the late Gay and Lottie Murphy. The three things that she cherished most in her life was the love of God and Church, her family and friends. She was a member of the Croft Chapel Church for 60 years. She touched the lives of many with her love for serving others. She always put the needs of others before herself.Survivors include, her daughter, Janice Reid of Turtletown, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Pam Wilcox of Turtletown, TN; sisters, Kathryn Rose of Murphy, NC; brothers and sisters-in-law, Herman and Wilma Murphy, Olen and Helen Murphy all of Hiwassee Dam, NC, Calvin and Geraldine Murphy of Murphy, NC; and the bountiful blessings of many nieces and nephews; grandsons, Rick Reid, Mark Reid, Justin Wilcox, Jarrod Wilcox and Tanner Wilcox; great grandsons, Zackery Reid, Trevor Reid, Colton Reid, Dakota Crowe, Drew Payne, Tyler Duggan and Brendan Allen; great grand daughters, Lindsay Allison, Mallory Sisson and Shawda Crowe; great great grandchildren, Hayden Reid, Karson Reid Lakelan Reid, Stella Mae Reid, Will Brown, Elsa Payne, Carter Johnson and River Allen.Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Calvin Murphy, Rev. Renny Whittenbarger and Rev. Mark Reid officiating. Music will be provided by Trevor Reid, Stephanie Murphy, Drew Payne and Croft Chapel Room Choir. Interment will follow in the Turtletown Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Bruce Murphy, Justin Wilcox, Jarrod Wilcox, Tanner Wilcox, Rick Reid, Mark Reid, Zachery Reid, Trevor Reid and Colton Reid. The nephews will serve as an honorary escort.
