Mrs. Connie Jo Cantrell, age 66, of Epworth, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at her home. She was born on September 15, 1958 in Monroe, Georgia to Richard H. Garrett, Sr. and Frances Coleman.

She cherished her children and grandchildren, finding her greatest joy in the time spent with them whether traveling together or creating lasting memories at her home. Known for her kindness and compassion, Connie was always ready to extend a helping hand. Her generosity knew no bounds-she was the kind of person who would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need.

Her faith in the Lord was the foundation of her life, guiding her with strength and grace. She was a loving and devoted wife to her husband, who was not only her partner but her best friend. Her warmth, love, and generosity will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy of faith and love will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Richard H. Garrett, Sr.

Mrs. Connie is survived by her beloved husband of 33 years, Larry Cantrell; mother, Frances Coleman; children, Krista Cantrell Parker (Edward L. Parker, III), Kevin Larry Cantrell (Alysia), and Hoyte Elam; grandchildren, Isabelle Cantrell, Gabrielle Cantrell, and Caroline Jill Parker; siblings, Brenda G. Tuten of Savannah, GA, Kathy G. Berry of Watkinsville, GA, Patti G. Bernstein of Statham, GA, Chuck Garrett of Watkinsville, GA, and Rick Garrett of Bogart, GA; 4 nieces, 3 nephews, 2 great nephews, and 9 great nieces.

A gathering of family and friends for visitation was held on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at the Akins-Cobb Funerals & Cremations of Blue Ridge from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Autism Association in memory of Connie.
