Clyde Winston Elrod, age 84 of Copperhill passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017. Mr. Elrod was born on February 20, 1933 in Copperhill, TN to the late Daniel Leo Elrod and Ada Hedrick Elrod. He retired from Tennessee Chemical Company. Mr. Elrod was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church. Survivors are his wife of thirty-seven years, Sharon Elrod of Copperhill; sons and daughters-in-law, Justin and Candi Elrod of Copperhill, Vence and Alisha Elrod of Madisonville and Darren and Wendy Elrod of Chattanooga; daughters and son-in-law, Veronica and Anthony Collins of Cleveland and Angie Tucker of Blue Ridge; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Kenny Taylor officiating. Pallbearers will be Steve Orton, David Waters, Keith Waters, Randy Maney, Randy Roberts and Buddy Queen. Interment will follow in the Maple Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
