Mr. Clifton Ray Deal, age 71, of Mineral Bluff, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018. He was born on August 31, 1947 in Copperhill. He attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Copperhill. He retired from the Tennessee Chemical Company where he had worked as a Boilermaker. After retirement, he became a stone mason and a talented inventor. Clifton loved spending time with his grandchildren and also enjoyed bowling and was an avid Georgia Bulldog and Atlanta Falcon fan. He is preceded in death by his parents, Junior Hayden Deal and Jeraline Gordon Deal and brothers, Glen Deal and Wayne Deal. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Angela "Susie" and Scott Suit, Lora and Les Eisenhart, and Junior and Kim Deal; grandchildren, Joseph Henry, Emily Henry Newman, Jacob Henry, Jonah Henry, Josiah Eisenhart, Jaron Deal, Jordan Deal, Taylor Deal, and Joshua Suit; great-grandchildren, Emmanuel Henry, Noah Henry, Carson Newman, Cayden Newman, Mason Henry, and Ozias Laughery; sisters and brothers-in-law, Virginia and Danny Holt, Linda and Kenny Breedlove, Theresa and Stanley Turner, and Claudia and Mike Beaver; and sisters-in-law, Barbara Deal and Joyce Deal. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, December 30, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. from Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Copperhill with Rev. Randy Hughes and Rev. Clifton Patterson officiating. Music was provided by Brian Pope. Interment followed in the Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Nathan Campbell officiating. Jaron Deal, Jonah Henry, Jacob Henry, Joseph Henry, Billy Henry, and Matthew Mealer served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Joshua Suit, Josiah Eisenhart, Wendell Davis, Cleaston Burger, Greg Nazerian, and all of Mr. Deal's Bowling Friends.
