The Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill announces the death of Cleo Cleaston Gibson, age 67, of Turtletown, TN who passed away Friday, January 20, 2012. Cleaston was a native of the Copper Basin area and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fishing as one of his hobbies and was self-employed as a vinyl siding installer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Taft and Lucy Loudermilk Gibson and siblings, Danny Gibson, Leon Gibson, Pete Gibson and Sally Jones.He is survived by children, Sherry Renae Gibson of Knoxville, TN, Angie Rose of Loudon, TN, Timothy Stiles of Turtletown, TN, Paladin Gibson of Loudon, TN; his longtime girlfriend of thirty years, Ellen Stiles of Turtletown, TN; sisters, Effie Gibson of Turtletown, TN and Dorothy Gibson of Tunnel Hill, GA; grandchildren, Aidan Gibson, Amanda Rose; Great grandchild, Brayden Rose. Visitation will be conducted Saturday evening, January 21st from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
