Claire Virginia Arp, age 82, of Mineral Bluff, Georgia passed away on December 19, 2024 at her home. She was born on July 7, 1942 in Mineral Bluff, Georgia to the late Wade Wesley Arp and Nellie Virginia Bell Arp. Claire was devoted in the Baptist faith. She loved to garden and tend to her beloved flowers. She also enjoyed cooking for others, and served as a mother to many who knew her.

Claire is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Jerry Arp.

She is survived by her siblings, Sybil Brown of McCaysville, GA, Morgan Arp of Blue Ridge, GA, Sidney Arp (Sharon) of McCaysville, GA; and Richard P. Arp of Mineral Bluff, GA; and nieces and nephews, Angie Arp, David Arp, Christie Gribble, Thomas Arp (Tori), John C. Arp, Blake Arp, Amanda Cross, Phillip Arp, and Grant Arp.

A funeral service was held on Monday, December 23, at 11:00 a.m. from the Sweet Gum Baptist Church with Minister John Arp officiating. Special music was by Kermit and Charlotte Peak. Interment followed in the church cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Thomas Arp, Richard Arp, Morgan Arp, Sidney Arp, Phillip Arp, and Grant Arp.
