Christopher "Chris" Vance Deal, age 36, of Cleveland, TN passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2009. Chris was a native of the Copper Basin area and was a self-employed carpenter. He was a member of Belltown Church of God. He is survived by his wife, Lori Hawkins Deal of the home; parents, Vance and Sue Deal of Copperhill, TN; brother, Kirk Deal of Mocksville, NC; sister, Tanya Deal of Copperhill, niece, Heather Deal of Mocksville, NC, and nephew, Patrick Jenkins of Mocksville, NC. Graveside services were conducted Friday, November 6, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. from the Family Cemetery with Rev. Guinn Green officiating. Music was by Casey Dillard. Pallbearers were Kirk Deal, Denny Hawkins, Ed Hawkins, Tim Hawkins, Mike Hawkins, Marty Deal, Junior Deal, and Johnny Wayne Deal. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
