Mr. Charlie Waters, of Blue Ridge, GA, age 90, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2014 in Riverdale, GA. Born in Fannin County, GA, he was the son of the late George and Bessie Payne Waters. Mr. Waters retired after 35 years from the Tennessee Chemical Company. He served as Deacon at Lebanon Baptist Church for more than 50 years. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Lester Waters, Jessie Waters, Dorothy Lewis, Annie Queen, and Jean Harrison.He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Franklin Waters, of Blue Ridge, GA; daughters, Robin Lang, and La Veta and Stephen Wehunt, both of Fayetteville, GA; granddaughter, Elizabeth Lang of Atlanta, GA; brothers, Herbert Waters of McCaysville, GA, Melvin Waters of Chatsworth, GA, Tommy Waters of Dalton, GA, and Roy Waters of Chatsworth, GA; sisters, Yvonne Rymer of Dalton, GA and Lorene Pless of Chatsworth, GA.Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Lebanon Baptist Church with Rev. David McLendon officiating. Music will be provided by Carol Thomas. Interment will follow in the Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery. The following Deacons of Lebanon Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers: Bill Smith, Bob Mathis, Robert Sosebee, Luther Mathis, Frank Fair, and Larry Payne. The following Deacons of Lebanon Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers; W.T. Pittman, Bill Patterson, Matthew Patterson, Grover Thomas, Mike Galloway, T.Y. Loggins, and Richard Rymer.
