Charles "Tommy" Alvin Walkey, age 86, of Turtletown passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020. Tommy was born on March 23, 1934 to the late Arville Walkey and Stella Rogers Walkey. He was self-employed in the roofing industry for many years. Tommy was a friend to a lot of people, and he enjoyed getting to tell some of his many stories. Tommy is also preceded in death by his loving wife, Bernice Morrow Walkey. Tommy is survived by his sons, Dennis Ray (Elizabeth) Walkey of Dalton, GA, and Randal (Patricia) Walkey of Varnell, GA; daughters, Evonne (Dale) Bilbrey of Cleveland, TN, Marcia Banks of Chatsworth, GA, and Brenda Walkey of Dalton, GA; brother, Dan Walkey of Tunnel Hill, GA; sisters, Margaret Roberts of Cleveland, TN, Judy Helton of Cleveland, TN, Noon Bagley of Resaca, GA, and Rachel Ray of Copperhill, TN. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. from the Walkey Family Cemetery with Rev. Steven Baker officiating. Dennis Walkey, Dale Bilbrey Jr., Randal Walkey, Dale Ray, Matthew Ray, James Walkey, and Stevie Walkey will be serving as pallbearers.
