Charles Hugh Travis age 82, of McCaysville, GA passed away Wednesday, May 06, 2009. Mr. Travis was born in Fayette County, Georgia to the late Charlie & Evelyn Whatley Travis. He was retired from Williams Publishing Company where he worked as an Estimator and was a Veteran of W.W.II having served in the U.S. Army. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed bowling. He was a member of the River of Life Full Gospel Fellowship Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Lorna Travis of the home; one daughter, Terri and husband Jeff Lynch of Waukegan, IL; step-son Dennis Daniel of New Smyrna Beach, FL; three step-daughters, Kathy and husband Jack Hammond of Winter Haven, FL, Loretta Salagala of Oak Hill, FL, Mary and husband Ray Frazee of Oak Hill, FL; one granddaughter, three step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren.Funeral services were conducted Saturday, May 9th at 11:00 a.m. from the River of Life Full Gospel Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Turner officiating. Music was by Ann Prince. Pallbearers included, Rick Allen, Albert Lee Queen, Bobby Scott and Joe Dickey. Interment followed at 3:00 p.m. from the Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs, GA.
