Charles David "Dave" Taylor age 85 of Turtletown, Tennessee passed away peacefully at his daughter's home in Turtletown Monday, March 30, 2026, surrounded by his wife Sandy and children. He had been recently visited by his grandchildren and great grandchildren, his pride and joy.
Dave Taylor was born May 8,1940 to parents Lon and Gladys Rose Taylor. Dave was a self-employed aluminum and vinyl siding installer. He took great pride in his work and in helping make families' homes look pretty, warm and inviting. While driving through the community he would often point out his "jobs". He worked tirelessly on his land and pond and enjoyed speaking and waving at neighbors as they would drive by. One neighbor called the Taylor place, "The gateway to home".
He was preceded in death by his parents Lon and Gladys Rose Taylor: and brothers Herman and Ralph Taylor all of Turtletown, TN.
Dave is survived by his loving wife Sandra "Sandy" Taylor of 63 years. Children, Kathy Taylor Giannini and spouse John of Turtletown, TN, Carol Girsky and spouse Steven of Clarksville, TN, and Robert Taylor and spouse Joy of Ooltewah, TN. Grandchildren, Grant (Anna) Girsky, Grayson (Chase) Hensley, Jacob Girsky, Nicholas Girsky, Hunter Giannini, and Hannah Giannini and great-grandchildren, Cooper Girsky, Hudson Girsky, Nova Hensley, and Ruthie Hensley. Siblings, Pauline Patterson of Cumming, GA, Alene Garcia of LaGrange, GA, Edna Powell of Jasper, GA, Lottie Ensley of Epworth, GA, Rada Mathis of Cleveland, TN, Nancy Davenport of Blue Ridge, GA, Winford Taylor of Turtletown, TN, Winston Taylor of Turtletown, TN, Patsy Weaver of Turtletown, TN, and Jim Taylor of Ducktown, TN, a long list of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. And his dog Jasper.
He was well loved and will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
