Mr. Charles Lee Simonds, better known as "Charlie", age 87 of Locust Grove, GA passed away on April 11, 2023 in Atlanta, GA. He was born in Cherokee County, NC to the late Alvin R. Simonds and Lola Brown Simonds. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from June 1953 until honorably discharged in June 1956. Charlie had worked for Eastern Airlines as a mechanic for 25 years. He then worked for NASA as a supervisor where he later retired. Charlie very mechanically inclined, enjoying restoring cars and carpentry work.

Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Glenda Simonds of Mineral Bluff, GA; nephew, William C. Simonds, Jr.; and several great nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will conducted on Friday, April 14, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. from the Macedonia (Wolf Creek) Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Renny Ryder officiating.
