Mr. Charles Thomas Setser, age 83 of McCaysville, GA passed away Friday, May 20, 2011 at home. Mr. Setser was born on May 11, 1928 in Fannin County to the late Edward W. and Eula Mae Cox Setser. He retired from Hughes Aircraft as an electronic technician fabricator. Mr. Setser had served in the United States Army. Survivors include brother, Carl Setser of Mineral Bluff, GA; large number of nieces and nephews; relative and friends also survive. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Montgomery officiating. Music was by Brenda Jones. Pallbearers were Richard Setser, Kenneth Setser, Levern Hughes, Butch Anderson, Dennis Setser and Steve Setser. Honorary pallbearers were Harriet Barnes, Dawn Waldhause, Lisa Bibb and Tammy Atkins. Interment followed in the Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery with full military honors provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
