Charles Edward Jones, age 77, of Murphy passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2025 in Bryson City, NC. Charles was born on August 31, 1948 in Copperhill to the late Jerry Jones and Evelyn Jewel Burger Jones. He served his country as a part of the United States Army. Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Sheila Ophelia Moody Jones, and sister, Annie Mae Mason.

He is survived by his brothers, Jake Jones, Donald Jones, and Ronald Lee Jones; and sister Margaret Carswell.

Graveside services were held on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from the Community Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Mitchell Allen officiating.
