Mr. Charles Frank Humphrey, age 87, of McCaysville, GA passed away Monday February 13, 2012 at his home. Born in McCaysville, GA he was the son of the late Charles and Ruby Deaver Humphrey. After Graduating from High School, Mr. Humphrey joined the United States Army where he served during WWII earning several distinctions during his tour of duty. Later he operated a Furniture Store for many years. Mr. Humphrey enjoyed wood working and was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of McCaysville, Survivors include his wife of sixty three years, Mary Ann Spargo Humphrey of the home; children and their spouses, Thomas and Karren Humphrey of Marietta, GA, Becky Pack of McCaysville, GA, Al and Brenda Humphrey of Conyers, GA and Angie and Jimmy Hughes of Morganton, GA, grandchildren, Debbie and Brian Mott, Jennifer and Donnie Johnston, Lauren and Dirk Justus, Nathan and Emily Humphrey, Emily K. Humphrey, Elise Claire Humphrey, Michael and Jennifer Pack, Jason and Carrie Pack, Mark and Rhonda Pack, David and Katie Humphrey, and Andrew and Lindsey Humphrey; great grandchildren, Tyler ,Dylan, Brady, Bryson and Alex Pack, Baylin Kelley and Keegan Justus.Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday February 15, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. from the First Baptist Church of McCaysville with Rev. Matthew McDaniel officiating. Music will be provided by the Church Choir. Interment will follow in the Crestlawn cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Nathan Humphrey, Michael Pack, Jason Pack, Mark Pack, Jimmy Hughes and Jerry Pack. Honorary pallbearers: Deacons and men of First Baptist Church of McCaysville. The family will recieve friends at the First Baptist Church of McCaysville on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the Funeral Hour.
