Charles Truman Dills, age 69 of Mineral Bluff passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2015, at home. He was born on Saturday, January 26, 1946 in Epworth, GA to the late Sherman Lee and Ruby Watkins Dills. Charles was a Navy and Marine Corps retired Veteran serving his country during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the McCaysville Gospel Tabernacle. Survivors are his wife of twenty-one years, Shirley Hughes Dills of Mineral Bluff, GA; children, Christy Simms of AR, Harold Dills of Blue Ridge, GA, Robert Lee Davis of Blue Ridge, GA, Glenoe Davis of Mineral Bluff, GA, Chris Davis (Dawn) of Mineral Bluff, GA, Lisa Brown Totherow (Robbie) of Morganton, GA, Ritchie Davis of Mineral Bluff, GA and Beverly Davis of Morganton, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Thurman and Linda Dills of Sacramento, CA; twenty-three grandchildren; many nieces and nephews also survive.Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Bill Pittman officiating. Interment followed in New Union Cemetery. Military Honors were provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Pallbearers were Dalton Burnette, Darren Burnette, Lucas Wilson, Christopher Davis, Jimmy Lynn Dills, Mitchell Hughes, Stacy Dills and Terry Dills.
