Mr. Charles Clifton Campbell, age 89, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014 at his home. Mr. Campbell was born in Fannin County, GA on September 7, 1924 to the lae Broadus Campbell and Flossie Payne Campbell. He was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his son, Charles Douglas Campbell; brothers, Earl Campbell and Herbert Campbell; and sisters, Jeanette Davenport and Helen Jordan. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Mae Campbell of Blue Ridge; daughter, Kathy Campbell of Blue Ridge; daughter-in-law, Linda Campbell of Blue Ridge; brothers, Hoyt Campbell of Blue Ridge, Zach Campbell of Morganton, and Nolan Campbell of Blue Ridge; sisters, Doris Long and Ruth Campbell, both of Morganton; three grandchildren, Beth Geren, Kelly Hughes, and Levi Campbell; and five grea grandchildren, Hayden Hughes, Hannah Geren, Christian Geren, Cater Campbell, Carter Campbell, and Brensen Campbell. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Jeff Fair officiating. Music will be by Brenda Millsaps and Greg Campbell. Pallbearers will be Levi Campbell, Kevin Hughes, Nathan Campbell, Richard Campbell, Wesley Long, and Billy Long. Interment will follow in Salem #2 Church Cemetery.
