IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Charles Walter
Adcock
January 5, 1930 – October 30, 2024
Charles W. Adcock, age 94, of Turtletown, TN passed away on Wednesday, October 30th, 2024. He was born on January 5th, 1930, in TN, to the late Eugene and Cora (Weaver) Adcock. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Elizabeth Adcock, parents and several siblings.
Charles (C.W.) served in the U.S. Army for 4 years, both in the states and in Germany. He lived in Taylor, MI, for several years before returning home to Tennessee, where he was a member of The Church of Christ in Copperhill. C.W.'s fondness for the outdoors was evident in his love of gardening and spending time on his front porch. He also enjoyed baseball and watching Nascar on Sundays. C.W. was the best cook and enjoyed cooking for those he loved. But most of all, he loved and enjoyed every moment with his grandchildren. He was a hard worker and spent 20 years as a janitor at the Copper Basin High School, until he retired.
C.W was a one of a kind! He was a true treasure to his family, and a blessing to anyone that knew and loved him. He was the best Dad/Papaw that anyone could ever ask for; we were truly blessed to have him in our lives! He will be deeply missed and will live forever in our hearts.
He is survived by his grandchildren, (Papaw's baby) Chas Adcock of Turtletown TN, Ashleigh Akins of Ionia, MI; great grandchildren, Caleb Ledford of Murphy, NC, Austin Lyons of Ionia, MI, Jayden Adcock of Turtletown, TN; family, Kelly Rhodes of Turtletown, TN; siblings, Joe Adcock of Chatsworth, GA and Randy (Brenda) Adcock of Turtletown, TN and sisters, Linda Maughan (Rev. Bill Maughan) of Turtletown and Debbie Hensley of Turtletown, TN; daughter Wanda Villet of Blanchard, MI; as well as several nieces and nephews.
There will be a small family gathering and service at a later date.
