Mr. Cecil Jackson Sisson, age 91, of Blue Ridge, GA, passed away on October 7, 2018 at his residence. Born in Blue Ridge, GA, he was the son of the late Marcus and Kittie Mull Sisson. Mr. Sisson was a proud veteran serving in the United States Army. He was a former member of the North Georgia Honor Guard and a member of the Disabled American Veterans #28. Cecil retired from Great Lakes Steel Manufacturing after 33 years of service.Survivors include his loving wife of 68 years of marriage, Frances McFarland Sisson of the home; daughter, Carol Doherty of Blue Ridge; son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Kathy Sisson of Wayne, MI; sister, Blanche White of Blue Ridge; 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Iva Lee Priest of Taylor, MI.Graveside services were conducted Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 1:15 p.m. from the Copper Ridge Memory Gardens with Rev. Mark Huff and Rev. Michael Pope officiating. Music was by Rev. Mark Huff. Pallbearers were Keith McFarland, Steve Doherty, Anthony Stanley, Bobby Weeks, Richard White, James Weaver, Jimmy Underwood and Tom McFarland. Honorary pallbearers were Danny McFarland, Steve McFarland, Bob McFarland, Mike Huff and Jody Huff. Flag presentation was the North Georgia Honor Guard.
