Cecil Patterson, age 83, of Cherry Log passed away on Friday, September 16, 2022 at his home. Cecil was born on October 15, 1938 in Blue Ridge, GA to the late Willie Patterson and Reathel Porter Patterson. He worked as an assembly line worker for General Motors. Cecil was of Christian faith as a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Ellijay. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Reathel Patterson.

Cecil is survived by his wife, Frances Patterson; daughters, Tina (Christopher Goff) Earley and Angela (Billy) Holt; sisters, Shirley Smith, Ellene Watson, and Virginia (Eulus) Davis; grandchildren, Justin (Brittany) Callihan, Joey Holt, and Alexandria (Matt) Hanna; and great-grandchild, Jaxton Hanna.

Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at ­­­2:00 p.m. from the Chapel at Akins-Cobb with Rev. Richard Chastain officiating. Interment follow in the Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery. Military honors were provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard.
