Carolyn Bishop, age 83, of Copperhill, passed away peacefully at her home on December 9, 2019.Ms Bishop was born in Mayfield, KY on February 25, 1936. She was of the Methodist faith. Carolyn was a graduate of the University of Kentucky earning a Bachelor of Science degree in commerce. Carolyn worked in the publishing and insurance industries before making her home in Copperhill, TN. She was an avid reader, a Kentucky Wildcat Fan, a member of the Copper Basin Riding Club and a beloved member of the Copper Basin community. Carolyn was also an avid Golfer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace C. & Ruth W. Bishop. A memorial service was held on Monday, December 16, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. from the Chapel of the Akins Funeral Home in Copperhill, TN with the Dr. Tom Jordan officiating. Internment will be beside her parents in the Highland Park Cemetery in Mayfield, KY at a later date.
