Carolyn Mae Anderson, age 81, of Mineral Bluff passed away on September 10, 2022 at Pruitt Healthcare of Blue Ridge. Carolyn was born on October 18, 1946 in Copperhill to the late James Edward Curtis and Lona Mae Boggs Curtis. She worked for 23 years as a nursing aid at Pruitt Healthcare. Carolyn was of Christian faith as a member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church in Grassy Creek. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Tony Anderson; Brothers, Wayne Curtis, Wade Curtis, Bobby Curtis, Bud "Jr." Curtis, James Curtis, and Charles Curtis; and sisters, Marilyn Stillwell and Earlene Curtis.

Carolyn is survived by her son, Jackie Lynn Anderson; brother, Rev. Grady Max Curtis; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel at Akins-Cobb with Rev. Paul Morgan officiating. Music was provided by Cindy Call and Amanda Hughes. Interment followed in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Wolf Creek. Pallbearers were Guinn Curtis, Donnie Millsaps, Bobby Joe Plush, Raymond Plush, Michael Hughes, and Rusty Call.
