Carol Rexanna Green, age 68, passed away at her home on November 2, 2021. Rexann, as she was known to family and friends, was born and lived her whole life in Blue Ridge, Georgia. She was the daughter of Rex Green and Bonnie Haddock Green and grew up on Snake Nation Road on the family farm of her grandparents, Noah Marcus Green and Ellen Stanley Green. After graduating from West Fannin High School in 1971, she attended North Georgia Technical College where she earned a diploma in Photography. She resided in Blue Ridge with her mother Bonnie until her passing in 1996. She and her mother were members of the Blue Ridge Methodist Church. Rexann worked many different jobs but always held an interest in photography and astronomy. She loved to learn new things and studied and earned a diploma from North Georgia Technical College in Business Office Technology with a Medical Office Specialization. Rexann loved animals and especially cats. She was a voracious reader and spent her last years continuing her mothers genealogical research on the Green family. She was an excellent seamstress like her mother and had many different sewing projects over the years. During the covid pandemic she sewed many cloth masks. She also crocheted and worked on teaching herself to play the guitar.
Rexann is survived by her sister Kay (Karen) Green Wood and brother-in-law Dean Wood, nephew Matthew Wood and his wife Gretchen who all live near Pine Mountain, Georgia. She is also survived by first cousins: Barbara Savage, Sandra Hays, Vicki Woodward, Susan Ivey, all of the metro Atlanta area; Phil Haddock of LaGrange, North Carolina; and Frances Patterson of the Blue Ridge Georgia area.
