Carlene Dyer Postell, age 85, of Epworth, GA passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023 in Ellijay, GA. She was born on October 10, 1938 in Tennga, GA to the late Dock Dyer and Hester Jones Dyer. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Winford Postell.

She is survived by her children, Hank (Peggy) Postell of Higdon, GA and Celia (Tony) Crump of Ellijay, GA; brothers, Roba Dyer of Ellijay, GA and George Dyer of McCaysville, GA; sister, Susie (James) Cook of Ringold, GA; grandaughters, Karen (Stephen) Queen and Judy (Doyle) Patterson; great-grandchildren, Jacob Queen, Brooke Queen, Emma Queen, Jesse Patterson, and Josh Patterson; great-great grandaughter, Piper Queen; a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 1:00 PM from the Hipps Chapel Church Cemetery with Rev. Tony Withrow officiating. The following gentlemen will be serving as pallbearers: Stephen Queen, Jacob Queen, Doyle Patterson, Jesse Patterson, Josh Patterson, and Tony Crump.
