Mr. Carl Frank "Chunky" Robinson, age 78, of Epworth, GA, passed away on June 29, 2020 in the Pruitt Health Care in Blue Ridge, GA. Born in Epworth, GA, he was the son of the late James "Jim" William Robinson and Bonnie Mae Campbell Robinson. Chunky was a hard worker and was known for helping others and making them laugh with a joke or an old time story. He was a man of many trades, but he was especially a talented painter and builder. Chunky could do any odd job he was asked to do. Carl was of the Christian faith who loved being a papa, talking to friends and never meeting a stranger. He could brighten anyone's day with his smile and laughter. He was also preceded in death by his son, James William Robinson, brothers, Earl Robinson and Sonny Robinson; and one sister, Helen Robinson. Survivors include his wife and friend, Mary Robinson of Blue Ridge, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Angie Robinson of Calhoun, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Thomas Mickens of Blue Ridge, GA; sister, Edna Kish of Blairsville, GA; grandchildren, Nathan Robinson, Nicholas Head, Nevin Head, Alex Robinson, Ashley Pratt, Haley Robinson and Kassie Robinson; great-grandchildren, Emma Head, Cayden Robinson, Abel Robinson, Aubrey Robinson, Allie Robinson, Ryker Robinson, Caelyn Pratt and Mayce Pratt. A private graveside service was Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at the Copper Ridge Memory Gardens with Rev. John Henry Payne officiating. The grandsons and Thomas Mickens served as pallbearers.
