Carl Edgar Adams, Jr., age 69, of Turtletown, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at his home. He was born in Copperhill to the late Carl Edgar Adams and Iva Glee Padgett Adams. Junior worked for many years as a Creeler for Shaw Industries. He enjoyed trips to the flea market and going out to eat. He loved going to Appalachia Lake to fish with Jeff.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Jerry Adams; and sister-in-law, Mary Ruth Mason.

Junior is survived by his siblings, Johnny Mason of Chuckey, TN; Larry (Mary) Adams of Crandall, GA; Harold (Opal) Adams of Turtletown, TN; Thelma (Kenneth) Martin of Turtletown, TN; and Una Vee (Danny) Dilbeck of Turtletown, TN; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 2:00 PM from the Akins-Cobb Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Donald Weaver and Rev. Jonathan Smith officiating. Music was provided by Phil Mason. Interment followed in the Mount Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ronald Martin, Kenny Martin, Robert Martin, Chris Adams, Jeff Trantham, and Kaden Martin. Honorary escort was Doug Prince, Mitchell Loudermilk, Michael Adams, Andy Loetscher, Daniel Adams, and Zackary Loetscher. The family visited with friends at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
