Cara Louise Swanson, age 67, of Turtletown, TN passed away Friday, December 28, 2012. Louise was a native of the Copper Basin area and was a daughter of the late Edward and Lillie Pate Payne. She was a retired supervisor from Gold Kist Poultry. Cara was of the Baptist Faith. She loved and enjoyed being with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers, Harold Payne, Lloyd Payne and Charles Fair; sisters, Arilene Hughes, June Hill and Sabina Adcock.She is survived by daughters, Donna (Gary) Walters of Ellijay, GA, Kelly (Ronald) Rhodes of Blue Ridge, GA, Becky Smith of Turtletown, TN, Kim (John) Lay of McCaysville, GA, Sharon (Greg) Cagle of Cisco, GA; brother Hoyt (Dola) Payne of Grundy, VA; sister, Ervalene Bonnie (Neil) Meisch of Gastonia, NC; twenty- one grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren.Funeral services were conducted Sunday, December 30th at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Dilbeck officiating. Pallbearers included Jason Cruse, Michael Cruse, Anthony Noland, Lucas Stiles, Daniel Lay and Billy Payne. Interment followed in the Zion Hill Baptist Church cemetery.
