Brian Philip "Old Man" Bowling, age 46, of Lake Park, Florida, formerly of McCaysville, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025. Brian was born on September 15, 1978 in Blue Ridge, GA to the late Billy Wayne Bowling Sr. and Clara Gwynn Godfrey Bowling. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Copperhill, and The Gathering Place in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Brian worked as a journeyman lineman for over 20 years, and in recent years, he was currently working as truck driver for FedEx. When Brian was not working, he loved spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Billy Wayne Bowling Jr.; sister-in-law, Tara Hooper; and father-in-law, Robert "Bobby" Walker.

Brian is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Robin Walker Bowling of the home; children, Gabriel Bowling of Lake Park, FL, and Tara Bowling of Lake Park, FL; sisters, Karen Van Zandt of McCaysville, and Sheila York of McCaysville; sister-in-law, Toshia (Mikey) Worley; mother-in-law, Judy Walker; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services were conducted on Friday, January 10, 2025 at 10:00 AM from the Akins-Cobb of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Roger Stiles and Brother Brandon Stiles officiating. Interment followed in the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers, Jacob Van Zandt, Jeremy Fair, Josh Hooper, R.M. Worley, Iain Price, Jordan Dalton, Mikey Worley, Keith Hyatt, Roger Stiles, Tommy Gregory, Matthew Brown, and Brandon Stiles. The family visited with friends at the funeral home on Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
