Mrs. Brenda Arp Sluder, age 67, of Blue Ridge passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at her home surrounded by family. Mrs. Sluder was born in Detroit, MI on December 30, 1954 to the late Hubert Benton Arp and Carzell Burger Arp Sisson. She had worked and retired from the Life Care Center of Copper Basin as the Director of Food and Nutrition.

She is survived by her husband, James Willard Sluder; step-daughter, Melissa Fowler; sister, Judith Arp Clark; niece, Judy Roberson; a step-granddaughter, a step-grandson, and two step-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Akins-Cobb in Blue Ridge from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Funeral services were held on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 2:00 PM from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Brent Carter officiating. Special music was provided by Teresa Stepp and Lynn Ward. Pallbearers were Brandon Fowler, Mike Taylor, Zack Taylor, Steve Wilson, Richard White, and Steve Talley. Interment followed the service in Barnes Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
