Brenda Faye Newman, age 78, of Farner passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024. Brenda was born on May 4, 1945 in Knoxville, TN to the late Hoke D. Key and Rosa Lee Cochran Key. She was a member of New Zion Baptist Church. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Freddie Key, Goldie Key, Willie Webb, and Estelle McGowan.

She was survived by her husband of 61 years, L.C. Newman; daughters, Vickie Lee Hopper, Robin Marie Borts, and Kristie "Krissy" Lynn (Jimmy) Cox; sisters, Dorothy Ann (Ronald) Hudgins, Linda Sue Coleman, Julie (Paul) Kish, and Loretta Stiles; and grandchildren, Jaime Morgan, Aaron Ogle, Hannah Borts, Jesse Hopper, and Joshua Mealer.
