Mr. Bobby Gene Plemmons, age 77, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Thursday, January 22, 2009 in the Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN. He was born in Polk County, TN on June 8, 1931. He worked as a machinist mechanic for Cities Service Company and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Hazel Watkins Plemmons of Blue Ridge; son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Cindy Plemmons of Blue Ridge; and grandchild, Andy Plemmons and his wife Denise. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Scott Baugh and Rev. Jim Gilliland officiating. Music was by Alice Griggs and Bob Buchanan. Pallbearers were Travis Couch, Doyle Wishon, Gene Davis, Caleb Griggs, John Griggs, and Mark Mayfield. Interment followed in Old Cherry Log Cemetery.
