Bobby Mack Deaton, age 70, of Blue Ridge, GA, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Heritage Health Care of Blue Ridge, GA. Mr. Deaton was born in Fannin County, GA to the late Curtis Baxter and Lula Bell Caldwell Deaton on October 16, 1941. He was retired as a farmer. Mr. Deaton was a member of Sugar Creek Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by brothers, Baxter Deaton, Billy Deaton and Fred Deaton; sisters, Roselle Brock, Frankie Adcock and Lois Deaton. He is survived a brother and sister-in-law, J.T. and Shirley Deaton of Blue Ridge, GA and sister, Betty Bell of Epworth, GA. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, January 1, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Harold Weeks officiating. Pallbearers were Ricky Bell, George Dyer, Larry Deyton, Gary Deaton, Phillip Thomas and Junior Norton. Interment followed in the Sugar Creek Cemetery.
