Ms. Bobbie Joe Dyer went home to be with our heavenly father on February 3, 2026. She was born on January 18, 1944 to W.M. and Hazel Grace Rodgers.

Bobbie Joe was preceded in death by her mother and father; and her son, Ricky Roger Dyer.

She is survived by her sister, Jackie Tuck; one daughter and son-in-law, Frances and Don Carpenter of Morganton, GA; three grandchildren, April Dyer of Clermont, GA, William (Kirsten) Carpenter of Hiawassee, GA, and Alisha (Kevin) Henderson of Hiawassee, GA; eleven great-grandchildren, Braydon (Emily) Henderson, Gracie (Dakota) Henderson, Lane and Lacey Carpenter, Troy Dyer, Levi Batho, Kyler, Everett, Lilly, and Beau; and one great-great grandchild, Weston Henderson.

The family would like to give a special thank you to all of her Appalachian Hospice family and a special thanks to DeBronda Carpenter.

Graveside services were held on Sunday, February 8, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. from the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ken Nicholson officiating. Special music was provided by Mrs. Freda Nicholson. Selected to serve as pallbearers were William Carpenter, Ricky Hughes, Braydon Henderson, Lane Carpenter, Gracie Henderson, and Bailey Carpenter. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Lacey Carpenter, Troy Dyer, and Levi Batho.
