Bobbie Jean Chancey, age 76, of Woodstock, GA, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2014 in McCaysville, GA. She was born December 4, 1937 to the late William Eugene and Ora Wright Chancey. She graduated from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville with a Master's Degree in Education and later retired from the Marietta City School System. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Walter Chancey. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Brenda Chancey of McCaysville; Niece, Danette (Andy) Hughes of Blue Ridge; Nephew, Scott Chancey of Greenwood, SC; and Great Niece and Nephew, Autumn and Alex Hughes of Blue Ridge.Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, September 29, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. David Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in the New Hope/ Flint Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, September 29, 2014, at the funeral home, from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
