Obituary

Bobbie Jeanne Bigham, age 90, of Turtletown passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026. Bobbie was born on December 15, 1935 in Conestee, SC to Paul Lafayette Payne and Pallie Ducker Payne. She was a member at the First Baptist Church of McCaysville.

Bobbie was the definition of a true southern lady. She was soft spoken, yet carried herself with grace and style. She relied upon her Christian faith and God's word to see her through each day.

Bobbie loved working outside with her flowers and often times you could find her curled up with a good book.

Her truest love was for her husband, Jack, her children and grandchildren, always making sure they were cared for and loved. She was always standing ready to listen with an open mind and would give advice when it was needed.

A love with her husband that spanned 73 years is the testament of a devoted loving couple.

With everything Bobbie endured during the last two years, she never complained. Her response to how are you feeling? Was always "I'm OK". Bobbie went to sleep peacefully and woke up with the angels, what better testament to a life well lived and loved.

Bobbie is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Pallie Payne; sister, Rubye Linder; and son-in-law, Rick Beck.

She is survived by her husband, Jack Bigham of the home; daughter, Jan Beck (James) Sluder of Turtletown; son, Don (Amy) Bigham of Turtletown; grandchildren, Justin (Misty) Beck of Turtletown, Holly Bigham of Cleveland, TN, and Jacob Bigham of Cleveland, TN; and niece, Darlene Peden of Mauldin, SC.
