Blanco Olen Gray, age 93, of Blue Ridge passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022. He was born on March 11, 1929 in McCaysville. Mr. Gray was an overhead crane operator at McClouth Steel Mill in Detroit, MI. He was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Gray was preceded in death by his parents, Blanco Calvin Gray and Ola Elizabeth Mull Gray; brother and sister-in-law, Garnel and Willa Gray; sisters and brothers-in-law, Gaynell and Verlin Lewis and Mary Bell and Floyd Queen; granddaughter, Patricia Watkins; nephews, Hoyt and Dale Queen; son-in-law, Rev. Edmund Miller and daughter-in-law, Oma Lee Gray. Survivors are his wife of twenty-seven years, Virginia Mull Gray of Blue Ridge; son, Olen "Buddy" Gray of Blue Ridge; daughter, Barbara Miller of Ellijay; a large number of grandchildren; great-grandchildren, nieces; nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Funerals and Cremations of Blue Ridge Chapel with Chaplain Joel Chastain officiating. Interment will follow at Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be no visitation. The family request in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
