Blanche White, age 92, of Blue Ridge passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at home. She was born on November 18, 1932 in McCaysville to the late Marcus Sisson and Kitty Evalee Mull Sisson. Blanche worked for nineteen years as a mender at the Van Raalte Company in Blue Ridge. She was a lifetime member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Blanche was preceded in death by parents; husband of sixty years, Lewin Arvil White and daughter-in-law, Jo Ann White. She was the last of six brothers and sisters.

Survivors are her son, Richard White of Blue Ridge; grandchildren, Johnathan White (Jenifer Patterson) and Teresa Martin; and great-grandchildren, Kaleb Martin, Brandy Martin, Connor Martin, Alex Stover, Daisy White, Penelope White, Cameron White and Ayden Patterson.

Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Funerals & Cremations of Blue Ridge Chapel with the Rev. Michael Pope officiating. Music was by Lynn Ward and Teresa Stepp. Interment followed in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Mark Huff officiating. The family received friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, December 3, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
