The Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill announces funeral services for Mrs. Blanche Louise (Burger) Farner, age 82, of Farner, Tenn., who died Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at Fannin Regional Hospital in Blue Ridge, Ga. Mrs. Farner was a native and lifelong resident of the Copper Basin, daughter of the late Joe and Hattie Coleman Burger. She was a member of Community Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Hoit and Marian Burger and a sister-in-law, Emiline Burger.She is survived by her husband Leonard Farner of the home, one son, Larry(Glenda)Farner of Farner, Tenn., one brother, Arvil Burger of Farner, Tenn., one uncle, Milton Coleman of Dalton, Ga., one nephew, Cecil Burger of Farner, two grandchildren, Jason (Shaunda) Farner of McCaysville, Ga., and Amy (James) Cochran of Copperhill, one great-grandchild, Logan Cochran, and many other relatives and friends.Funeral services will be at Community Baptist Church Friday, November 26, at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Lloyd Deal and Rev, Jonathan Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Community Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Herman, David, and Jerry Mashburn, Trip and Junior Beaver and Bill Newman. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM Thursday.
