Billy Danny Pierce, age 67, of Blue Ridge, Georgia passed away on October 28, 2024 of an extended illness.

Danny was born in Youngstown, Ohio on May 19, 1957 to Billie Pierce and Shirley Dillard.

He was a member of New Mount Gilead Baptist Church and belonged to several Beagle Clubs, including the Rope Mill Beagle Club and the Two Couple Pack Federation Club. He served in the United States Army.

He is preceded in death by his father, Billie (Loretta) Pierce; step-father, Lonis Dillard and grandparents, Woodrow and Reba Neal and Carl and Lola Watkins Pierce.

Danny is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Rogers Pierce of Blue Ridge, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Courtney (A.J.) Proudfoot of Talking Rock, GA; four precious grandchildren, Braxtyn Green, McKinley Young, Maci Young, and Owen Proudfoot; brother, Dale Pierce of Blue Ridge, GA; mother, Shirley Dillard; niece, Gracey Jones; nephew, Jonah Pierce; several other family members, and dear friends.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Scott Ware officiating. Interment followed in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Donald Stiles, Jimmy Rogers, Jonah Pierce, Mark Pack, Arnold Watkins, and Bryan Nix. The family visited with friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, October 30, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
