Mr. Billy June "Bill" Patterson, age 76 of Blue Ridge, GA passed away on Friday, April 11, 2014, at his home. He was born Monday, July 5, 1937 in Fannin County, GA to the late Luther and Lola Ellen Callihan Patterson. Mr. Patterson was a member of Boardtown Church of Christ. He was employed by Fannin County Board of Education for twenty years as a mechanic and bus driver. Mr. Patterson was also preceded in death by a son, Anthony June Patterson; granddaughter, Clarissa Ray; grandson, Daniel Ray Patterson and brother, James Earl Farmer. Survivors are his wife of forty years, Merry Woody Patterson of the home; son, Ray Patterson (Susan) of Blue Ridge, GA; daughter, Lanette Hogan (Terry) of McCaysville, GA; grandchildren, John Patterson (Chelsey), Jason Ray (Samantha), Shaundra Patterson and Kelly Tidwell (Cody); great grandchildren, Hadley and Deegan Patterson, Kennedy McKinley, Lyndon Ray and Max Anthony Tidwell; sister, Reba McClure (Ranell) of Blue Ridge, GA; mother-in-law, Mrs. Emma Woody of McCaysville, GA; brother-in-law, Tommy Woody (Carol)of McCaysville, GA; son-in-law, Rob Ray of McCaysville, GA; aunt, Mrs. Georgia Mae Sharp of Ellijay; nieces; nephews; a large number of other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with the Rev. Paul Richards and Minister Butch Jones officiating. Music will be by Boardtown Church of Christ. Interment will follow in the Macedonia Church of Christ cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Patterson, Jason Ray, Rob Ray, Calvin Queen, Devell Ferrell and Junior Jenkins. Honorary pallbearers will be John McClure, Fabian Baliles, Keith Bearden and Tommy Stenburg.
