Billy E. Butt, age 76 of Morganton passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2015, at Fannin Regional Hospital. He was born on Friday, June 9, 1939 in Union City, GA to the late Birge and Metta Mason Butt. Mr. Butt retired from Tennessee Chemical Company and the United States Army National Guard. He was a member of Morganton Baptist Church. Mr. Butt was preceded in death by parents and a son, Randy Butt.Survivors are his wife, Eunice Crawford Butt of the home; son and daughter-in-law, William and Kim Butt of Blue Ridge, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Garner and Barbara Butt of Blairsville, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Shelby Jean and Jack Payne of Miramar, FL; granddaughter, Jessica Butts; grandsons, Geoffrey, Garrett, and Zachary Butts also survive.Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Pastor Sammy Ledford officiating. Interment followed in the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery. Full Military Honors were provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard.
