Billie Ganues Davis, age 101, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2020. She was born on March 12, 1919, in Jasper, GA to the late Leslie Ganues and Minnie Mann Ganues. Billie was a member of Brainerd Baptist Church in Chattanooga and was a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Davis; sons, Earl Jay Townsend and John William Townsend and siblings, John Ganues, Frank Ganues, J.T. Ganues, Bernard Ganues, Fred Ganues, Raymond Ganues, L.C. Ganues, Jack Ganues, and Irene Ray. Billie is survived by her son, Jack Leslie Townsend and wife Carlinda; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren also survive. A graveside service was conducted on Friday, July 24, 2020 at 11:00 AM from the Barnes Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
