Mr. Bill Henson, age 44, of Murphy, N.C., died Friday, June 11, 2010, at Murphy Medical Center in Murphy, N.C. He had worked as a carpenter and enjoyed woodworking. He was preceded in death by his mother, Arlene Chamberlin Henson and a brother, Michael Allen Henson.He is survived by his parents, James and Ruth Henson of Murphy, one sister, Lora Henson of Sarasota, Fla., one brother, James Lee Henson of Van-Nuys, Calif., three step-sisters, Mary Ruth Thompson of Greenback, Tenn., Teresa Irene Hearon of Maryville, Tenn., Rebecca Ann Thacker of Cleveland, Ga., two step-brothers, Roy Lee Swaney of Maysville, Ga. and David Wayne Swaney of Morganton, Ga., many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service were conducted at New Liberty Baptist Church at 2:00 PM Monday, June 14, 2010, with Rev. Roy Clore officiating. Music was by the family. Interment was in the Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Roy Lee Swaney, David Wayne Swaney, Tommy Delaney, Scott Shields, Zyndall Sims, Jr., and Ronald Courtney. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
