Obituary

Mrs. Beulah Lee Johnson, age 86, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Thursday, February 3, 2011 at her home. Mrs. Johnson was born in Sweet Gum, GA on November 24, 1924 to the late Thomas Tyrus Harper and Martha Emma Arp Harper. She was a teacher for the Fannin County School System and was also a business operator. She was a member of Sweet Gum Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, James Ralph Johnson and a brother, Rupert Harper. She is survived by a son, Russell Johnson and companion Melissia Taylor of Epworth, GA; grandchildren, Ryan Franklin of Jasper, GA, Kelly Johnson of Epworth, and Blake Taylor of Blairsville, GA; great grandchild, Matthew Daves of Jasper; many cousins and other relatives also survive. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Denny Hawkins and Rev. Michael Collis officiating. Music was by Brownie and Vicky Whittenbarger. Pallbearers were Lynn Panter, Dawg Guinn, Travis Huffman, Ryan Franklin, Matthew Daves, and Blake Taylor. Honorary pallbearers were Bill Jones, Junior McDaris, Tommy Woody, Jim Smith, and Martha Smith. Interment followed in Zion Hill Cemetery.
