Betty Jean Bennie White, age 92 of McCaysville, GA passed away on Friday, January 10, 2020 at the Pruitt Health Care in Blue Ridge, GA. She was born on March 5, 1927 in Ducktown, TN to the late William C. Bennie and Jewel Morgan Bennie. Mrs. White retired after twenty-five years with the Fannin County Board of Education as a custodian. She was a member of the McCaysville Church of God and the Womens Group. Mrs. White was preceded in death by her parents, William C Bennie and Jewel Morgan Bennie; husband, Joe Ben White; daughter, Joann White; granddaughter, Heather Towery; brothers, William, Clyde, Claude, Tom, Ralph and Hoyt Bennie. Survivors are daughter, Betty Jewell Towery (Joe) of Anderson, SC; sons, Joseph White (Shelia) of Houston, TX and Henry Jackson White (Donna) of Houston, TX; sister, Doris Robinson of Hass Lake, MI; four grandchildren, Jason White, Keven White, Michael Towery and Jennifer White and seven great-grandchildren also survive. Services were conducted on Monday, January 13, 2020 at 3:30 p.m. from the Copper Ridge Memorial Gardens with Rev. Chris Taylor officiating.
