Betty Sue "Penny" Waters age 64, of Decatur, TN passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016 at home. Penny was born on January 11, 1952 in Fannin County, GA to the late John Wesley and Beulah Naomi Hunter Blalock. She worked for Mills Products as a metal fabricator. Penny was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Merdith Harold Waters and two brothers, Bobby Blalock and Alonzo Roberts.Betty is survived by daughters, Tammy Renea Waters and boyfriend Jeff Hill of Decatur, TN and Rebecca Ann (Michael) Green of Decatur, TN; sons, James David (Sherrie) Waters of Decatur, TN and Keith Lamar Waters (Sherilyn Cabrega) of Niota, TN; brother, Don Roberts of Mineral Bluff, GA; sisters, Sharon (Clyde) Elrod of Copperhill, TN, Jo Ann (Randy) Maney of Blue Ridge, GA and Linda (Ronnie) Hughes of Cisco, GA; a very special friend, Angie Trusley of Decatur, TN; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Clifton Patterson and Rev. Rick Davenport officiating. Music will be by Rev. Rick Davenport. Interment will follow in the Mount Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ducie Waters, J.R. Roberts, Vence Elrod, Justin Elrod, Brian Waters and Randy Maney.
