Mrs. Betty Sue Swanson, age 88, of the Life Care Center of Copper Basin, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2013, Betty was a native of the Copper Basin and was a daughter of the late Thomas Henry and Lura Elizabeth Sisson Fowler. She was a homemaker and a member of the Staffordtown Holiness Church. She was also preceded in death by husband, Oscar Swanson and son Eddie Swanson.She is survived by children, Tommy (Sharon) Swanson of Ducktown, TN, Steve (Barbara) Swanson of Turtletown, TN, Billy (Bonnie) Fowler of Cartersville, GA, Mary Ann (Steve) Stewart of Copperhill, TN, Nancy (Barry) Johnson of Ducktown, TN; sisters, Freda Mathis of Copperhill, TN, Ruth Hughes of Ducktown, TN; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren.Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, October 24th at 2:00 p.m. from the Pleasant Hill (Airport Road) Cemetery with Rev.Donald Padgett officiating.
